Weekend recap / Etzella takes the lead in the standings

After a short winter break, the Enovos League returned this weekend with 3 games of game day 13 in the men’s league.

Sunday:
Arantia Larochette – AB Contern 120:87
– Arantia improves to 10:3, Contern remains last in the standings (1:12)
– Arantia jumped out to an 41:18 lead after the first quarter
– Kevon Godwin led Arantia with 25 points, Mykolas Maindron was back in action with Larochette

T71 Dudelange – Basket Esch 45:82
– Esch improves to 8:5 and wins the direct comparison, T71’s record drops to 7:6
– Dudelange played without professional players and without Nelly Stephens, the hosts already trailed 23:46 at the break
– Clancy Rugg (22 points) and Quinten Nelson (21) led Esch in this blowout victory

Etzella Ettelbruck – Sparta Bertrange 69:61
– Etzella ties with Sparta in the standings (11:2) and takes the lead because of the direct comparison that Etzella has won
– In a low scoring game, Nicholas Davis led the hosts with 25 points
– Sparta made 13 threes, but only 9 field goals from inside the arc and was 4-9 at the free throw line

– T71 remains unbeaten (11:0), the Pikes have a 2:8 record
– Lauren VanKleunen led T71 with 28 points, all 5 starters scored in double digits for the guests
