The women’s second round starts / Men’s teams fight for play-off places

4 games are scheduled in the men’s LBBL this weekend. After the Musel Pikes won a thriller against Sparta during the week ( –> Musel Pikes beat Sparta on late 3-pointer by Kox (video) ), both teams will be on the court again this Saturday.

The game between Amicale and the Musel Pikes is the duell between the 7th and 11th team in the standings, however it is a game between 2 rising teams that have been playing extremely well lately. Amicale can qualify for the play-offs with a win while the Musel Pikes can keep their chances alive of reaching the 8th spot, an extraordinary accomplishment since the team entered the winter break with only 1 victory. League leader Résidence comes off a win in Esch where the team played without Francois, Fletcher and Stein. Now, the team of coach Alexis Kreps faces Sparta, the road team will try to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss on Wednesday-evening in Stadtbredimus. Heffingen is looking to finish at the best possible place before the start of the play-offs and the team of coach Daniel Brandao enters the home game against Racing as the favorite. The team from the capital needs every point in the fight against relegation. T71 is under pressure to earn points to protect the 8th place. Their opponent Esch will have a new player on its roster with Steven Green who replaced Jordan Hicks.
Etzella, Arantia, Contern and Telstar are not in action this weekend.
