The 4th FLBB youth national team that will play the European Championship this summer is the U16 girls’ team. Luxembourg will start the competition (Division B) on Wednesday with a game against the Netherlands. 19 countries compete in 4 groups in Instanbul.
After months of preparation, including the Youth Trophy tournament and friendly games in Bulgaria, the team has made significant progress. The matches against Portugal, Switzerland, and Ireland at the Youth Trophy were especially valuable, revealing both strengths and areas for improvement.
With growing confidence, the players are now eager to compete, showcase their best basketball, and represent Luxembourg with pride. The team’s objective is clear: to play fast, aggressive, and collective basketball—and to bring home some victories.
