Coaching staff:
„Tough Battle, Big Win: 54-52 Victory Over Austria

We knew from the start that the last game of the group phase would be decisive. Facing Austria, we expected an aggressive, physical battle—and that’s exactly what we got. But we also knew that with the right mindset, Austria could be beaten.

It wasn’t our most beautiful basketball, but it was a masterclass in resilience and determination. After falling behind by 13 points in the middle of the third quarter, the team refused to give up. They kept fighting, kept believing, and step by step, they worked their way back into the game.

It was a true team effort, but we have to highlight the outstanding leadership of Dionne Madjo, who carried the team with her energy, attitude, and determination when it mattered most.

This is an important win for our young team. It shows the character they have and the progress they are making together. Now, we wait for the results of the remaining group games to find out who our next opponent will be.

But whatever comes next, this team has already shown what they’re made of. »
