The situation in the men’s National 2 play-offs becomes more and more interesting. After the second game day, a trio is on top of the league standings.
In fact, Zolwer was able to beat Heffingen 99:83 and jumps to the top of the standings. Felix Whitcomb Kloman scored a game-high 32 points to lead the hosts. After a superb start into the season, the momentum is currently shifting away from Heffingen and the road back to the Enovos League will be much more difficult than expected a few months ago.
Gréngewald’s impressive 16-game winning streak ended on Saturday with a 84:93 loss at home against Avanti Mondorf. Mondorf’s pro-players Reuter (28) and Dawkins (27) combined for 55 points as the team starts the play-offs with two straight victories. Because of a week start into the season, the team still has a large deficit to the promotion spots.
Black Star Mersch was able to beat the Black Frogs Schieren 80:75 and reduces the deficit to the opponent to two points in the standings. Schieren loses contact to the top teams with this home loss. Donte Pope led Black Star with 27 points while Desean Hampton added 24 points.
