AB Contern controlled the second half to win 56-40 at Résidence Walferdange in WU14 Division 4 (Phase 1, round-robin game 2, walfer/ho1).

Walferdange started brighter and led 11-9 after Q1, driven by captain Jana Meyer (RES, 13) who poured 9 points in the opening period, including the game's lone three. The game flipped in the second quarter: Marie Weber (CON, 13) caught fire for 16 points in the period and fueled an 8-0 burst that turned 21-19 into a 21-27 halftime lead for Daniel Gonnering's team.

Contern came out of the locker room with another jolt, a 6-0 start to 33-22. Walferdange tried to hang on through Aislinn Lopez (RES, 11, PHL) and Manon Vanhoutte, but Contern's grip tightened. Mid-third, Mira Schroeder (RES) was whistled for two personals in quick succession as the visitors maintained control. In the fourth, Matilda Weis closed the door with 10 points in the period, scoring three of Contern's last four field goals. The lead peaked at +18 (56-38) before the final 56-40.

Contern did its damage inside: 27 made two-pointers and 2 free throws, without a three. Walferdange answered with 17 twos, 1 three (Meyer) and 3 free throws.
